Valeria´s Biography

Valeria Barraza Sierra was born on October 3^rd 2001 in Barranquilla, Colombia. She studied medicine and she graduated from university in 2024. When I was doing her the interview, she told me that the university had been a big stress moment. After graduation, Valeria started to work too hard. I think that situation help her to reinforce her knowledge.

She decided to continue studying English because she wanted to leave the country. In 2025 she started to do the paperwork, but just in 2027 she managed to get leave the country and went to Canada. If she had not been a persistent person, she would have fail in her plans.  Before she decided to leave her life in Colombia, she told me that she and her friends had realized had carried out health campaigns around Barranquilla, especially for vulnerable communities.

In 2028 Valeria was studying and working for get money and finish her medical speciality. In that year, she got married with her fiance. She told me that they had decided to wait for have kids, so they adopted a dog in that moment and called him cheeseburger because the dog was really fat. In 2032 she had her first and only daughter. In this part of the interview, she was really specific and she told me that her whims had been very rare during her pregnancy.

Finally, she finished her cardiology medical speciality and she continued to help vulnerable communities. Now, she lives with her husband, her daughter, her mom and cheeseburger.
